Antispam Options
Enable Antispam
Activates POPcon’s built-in antispam filtering. When enabled, incoming emails are checked against DNS blacklists and user-defined rules before delivery to Exchange.
DNS Blacklist Servers
Configure one or more DNS-based blacklist (DNSBL) servers to check the sending mail server’s IP address against known spam sources.
- Add: Add a new DNSBL server address to the list.
- Edit: Modify an existing DNSBL server entry.
- Remove: Delete a DNSBL server from the list.
User-defined Whitelist
Define rules to always allow emails matching specific criteria, bypassing spam checks. Whitelist entries can match on:
- Sender address: The From: header address
- Recipient address: The To: or CC: header address
- Subject: Text contained in the Subject: header
- Attachment name: Filename of an attached file
- Header field: Any custom header field and value
- Mail text: Text contained in the email body
User-defined Blacklist
Define rules to always flag emails matching specific criteria as spam. Blacklist entries can match on the same criteria as the whitelist:
- Sender address: The From: header address
- Recipient address: The To: or CC: header address
- Subject: Text contained in the Subject: header
- Attachment name: Filename of an attached file
- Header field: Any custom header field and value
- Mail text: Text contained in the email body
Action for Spam
Configure what happens when an email is identified as spam:
- Divert to email address: Redirect the spam email to a specified mailbox for review instead of delivering it to the intended recipient.
- Tag subject with [SPAM]: Prepend
[SPAM]to the email’s subject line and deliver it normally. Recipients can then use mail client rules to filter tagged messages.
